Hans van den Adel
HR & Facility Manager

Working with us means, you will find yourself collaborating with entrepreneurial networkers and water enthusiasts, the value-creators of NWP. You will facilitate them in their personal growth, so they can excel in their daily work (from executing to managing projects, communicating with our members and from seeking personal development opportunities to managing a team).

Each of us working at NWP plays an essential role in the enduring success of our organisation. We value the entrepreneurial, collaborative, reliable and agile qualities in our people. While we are one organisation, teams and departments operate with autonomy and accountability. Individuals take the initiative. The employee’s experience is positioned at the centre of the full employee journey. Your approach is well balanced between employee and our organisational goals.

Our organisation

We believe we can work towards a sustainable future where over 9 billion people live well and in balance with the earth’s resources. A future that is water driven, for society as well as for businesses. We are the Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP), a network of Dutch water organisations, co-creating innovative and future-proof solutions.

NWP is an organisation driven by networkers with an entrepreneurial mindset. We celebrate our diversity and inclusivity in who we are, how we think and how we act. We aim for personal growth matching both organisational and personal goals. The human input is well balanced, compensated and appreciated in a sustainable manner.

Your role

Together with our line managers and the HR Manager, you strive for an optimal employee experience. As our HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for a flawless execution of our compensation and benefits policy as well as HR development. Besides these operational tasks, there are other areas to create an impact, you will be responsible for your own innovation projects – we can’t wait to hear your ideas.

You can think of traditional HR routes. But after looking into ‘what is to be solved’ you also look for less traditional ways to instigate change. You convince others and are comfortable giving both solicited and unsolicited advice.

  • Provide robust day-to-day support on the entire administration of compensation & benefits.
  • You contribute to building an education-, development- and career planning.
  • Partner with the business to advise on various HR policies and regulations.
  • Act as a backup for the HR Manager.
  • Ensure consistency of processes and implement best practices.
  • Provide HR reports to signal trends and improve the way we work.
  • You take action to drive well-being and performance.

What we offer

  • As an HR Business Partner at NWP, you will be working with inspiring, like-minded colleagues in an international, challenging and innovative environment.
  • This position allows you to use your HR and social expertise and contribute to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals simultaneously.
  • There is lots of room for personal and professional growth by training, learning on the job and coaching.
  • NWP offers you a competitive salary, based on skills and experience, and good employment conditions and perks.
  • Working hours are flexible and working from home is well facilitated. For now, we solely work from home. When possible again, we mix working from home and at our office, next to the central railway station in The Hague.

What we ask

  • Higher education (Bachelor or Master) in Human Resources related field.
  • 2-5 years of HR Advisor/Officer experience, at least 1 year in an advisory role.
  • You have a high sense of integrity, open communication and you are self-confident.
  • You can build professional relationships both in and outside of the organisation.
  • Focus on a high-level employee service comes naturally.
  • Business sense, and the ability to see the ‘’bigger picture’’.
  • You have a hands-on mentality and like to be part of the operational dynamics.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language is required.
  • You are a natural talent in juggling multiple projects and priorities.
