From 4 to 7 May 2026, the Netherlands Pavilion will once again be featured at IFAT Munich — one the world’s leading trade fairs for water, waste, and environmental technologies. Organised by Water Alliance and Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP), we will jointly present a powerful showcase of Dutch water innovation, expertise and international collaboration.
Each edition of IFAT Munich attracts over 150,000 visitors and 3,000 exhibitors from more than 60 countries. It is the place to make a large number of relevant contacts in a short time, and to experience the latest developments within the international water and environmental technology sector.
During IFAT 2026, the Netherlands will once again be represented under the familiar banner of the Netherlands Pavilion, hosted by Water Alliance and the Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP). It is funded through the WTEX10 programme, an initiative of the Dutch government, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, and the Top Sector Water & Maritime, in cooperation with Water Alliance and NWP. In addition, the Netherlands Pavilion is supported through the SBP programme of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). We also receive valuable support from the Consulate-General in Munich for the networking reception.
The Netherlands Pavilion, booth A3.217, offers an open and welcoming space on the exhibition floor where Dutch companies showcase their innovations and engage with international partners, customers and decision-makers.
By presenting together, we strengthen the international visibility of Dutch water technology and create new opportunities for collaboration worldwide.

On Monday 4 May at 15:00, the Netherlands Pavilion hosts a dedicated knowledge exchange session by the UV Alliance — an international cooperation of leading companies active in UV technology.
The session will highlight UV-C as a safe, chemical-free and sustainable solution for water treatment. It will also introduce the UV Knowledge Hub: a co-creation project developed together with the global UV community to share knowledge and strengthen the water sector.
Members of the UV Alliance presenting at this session are:
UV Alliance members Dissol, Alpha-Purify, LightSources Group, UVGERMI, and UV Guard will also be present. Together, they represent decades of expertise in UV-C systems, lamps and components for disinfection across a wide range of water treatment applications.
This session, moderated by NWP’s Marieke Leenhouts, is particularly relevant for water utilities, system integrators, consultants and engineers — as well as industrial water users across sectors where water quality is business-critical:
Attendees will leave with a clearer, evidence-based understanding of UV-C's real potential and the opportunity to connect with the UV community. After the session, participants are welcome to continue the conversation informally over a drink.
On Tuesday 5 May at 16:00, we will host a networking reception at the Netherlands Pavilion. You are warmly invited to join us in an informal setting to meet fellow visitors, exchange ideas and explore new collaboration opportunities.
During IFAT Munich 2026, we are organising an international matchmaking programme in collaboration with the International Cleantech Network. This offers you the opportunity to connect directly with potential partners, clients and investors across the water, waste and energy sectors.
Through this programme, you can schedule one-to-one meetings with other IFAT participants in advance. These meetings take place on-site and are designed to help you quickly establish valuable connections and explore concrete collaboration opportunities.
In addition to the individual B2B meetings, we will host a joint networking session, where you can meet companies, clusters and international stakeholders. This session also provides insight into current market needs and challenges, including those of international buyers and technology seekers.
The matchmaking is open to all IFAT participants and helps you to:
On 5 May 2026, we will officially launch the NEW WATER project. This international collaboration focuses on developing new, climate-resilient sources for drinking water. Together with partners from the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Germany, we are working on solutions such as the reuse of wastewater, rainwater and surface water.
During this event, you will gain insights into the pilot projects, meet international partners and take part in interactive matchmaking and speed networking sessions—all within one afternoon.
