The Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP) is hosting an NL Lounge at the 2025 IWA Water and Development Congress & Exhibition, from 8-12 December 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand. This event is organised by the International Water Association (IWA) and co-hosted by Asian Institute of Technology.
The event is a landmark event for water, sanitation, and climate resilience in low- and middle-income countries. The congress programme will be built around five thematic tracks:
Additional features and activities will include the Exhibition – a key part of the event – and various forums and special platforms, including a forum ‘From Land to Sea: Tackling Pollutants, Protecting Health, and Restoring Ecosystems’.
The IWA Water and Development Congress & Exhibition will take place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok.
The IWA Water and Development Congress & Exhibition expects to bring together over 3,500 people, a global audience of practitioners, utility managers, academia, government officials, consultants and media in Bangkok, Thailand.
In close cooperation with the IWA organisers, the Dutch Embassy in Thailand, PIB Water Thailand, the Dutch Enterprise Agency (RVO), and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, NWP organises the Netherlands Pavilion, facilitating matchmaking and knowledge exchange. The programme also includes a panel session in the Business Forum and a network reception, ensuring inspiring interaction between Dutch water experts and their international peers.
The Netherlands lounge features 16 participating organisations, amongst them the participants of the Partners in International Business (PIB) programme “PIB Water Thailand”.
