Join us for the NWP Member Meet-Up this summer

At this event, you’ll hear from Sybe Schaap, a respected expert in Dutch and European water policy. With a career spanning water governance, politics, and academia, Sybe brings a wealth of insight rooted in decades of experience. He served as the very first Dijkgraaf of the Noordoostpolder – at a time when the Netherlands still had around 200 water authorities – and later became Chair of the Dutch Association of Water Authorities. He also held the position of Director at the Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP), and today he chairs the Dutch Committee on Genetic Modification (COGEM). Born and raised in Friesland, and with his extensive work in the water sector, Sybe offers a unique perspective at the intersection of water policy and philosophy.
