Our objective is to accelerate the development of new technology, knowledge, innovative water management, monitoring and maintenance techniques. We do this by supporting the creation of feasible business cases, building capacity and providing adequate finance for the commercial rollout of sustainable companies that can make a difference and generate value.
Aquius unlocks the power of finance to drive progress on all fronts and works with innovative companies, knowledge institutes, NGO’s, public authorities and the broader water sector to mitigate and adapt to the effects of climate change. Specialising in financing TRL 7-9 projects to bring innovations to market, Aquius Capital attracts private capital to invest in the wider water sector and help businesses scale up. It supports initiatives that make water accessible to all; to clean, purify and distribute water, to manage existing water resources sustainably, and to enable projects and technologies to protect us from flooding and other negative water impacts, as well as blue energy projects.
Our company works with companies and projects that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals with a special focus on SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation and SDG 13: Climate Action.
Aquius has a solid background and extensive networks in both the finance and water sector and brings together innovative companies with impact investors and debt funders. As part of our work in water-finance, Aquius support governments in structuring public-private partnerships with blended finance.
