Electricity-free water disinfection, powered by nothing but your water's own pressure and flow.

Sensiblue, based and manufacturing in The Hague, has developed a patented system that turns any water source — tap, ground, rain or grey water — into safe, disinfected (potable) water, free from viruses & bacteria, using only a small amount of ordinary salt. No electricity, no chemicals to handle, no filters to replace.

As water flows through the Sensiblue, the in-situ salt electrolysis process releases a minimal, safe dose of active chlorine (0.2–0.45 mg/L, within WHO drinking-water guidelines) always proportional to the water flow. Because the chlorine is generated on the spot rather than dosed from stored chemicals, the Sensiblue produces the lowest possible disinfection by-products of any form of chlorination — with no chemical handling at all. Just 1 kg of salt treats 50,000 litres.

Independent testing by KWR confirms the Sensiblue removes 99.9% of viruses (log-3) and 99.99% of bacteria (log-4). Installed at the point of entry, it also breaks down and prevents harmful biofilm inside your pipework.

The result is a scalable, low-maintenance barrier against waterborne bacteria and viruses — for households, boats, campers, off-grid homes, schools, field hospitals, disaster relief, mini-grids, small water networks, and rainwater or well-water systems.

We're looking to work with:

  • NGOs and governments needing low-maintenance, electricity-free disinfection for humanitarian, school and healthcare projects.
  • Distributors and system integrators in developing markets for residential, agricultural and light commercial water treatment.
  • Knowledge institutes and universities for independent pilots and performance verification.
  • Individuals keeping water safe at home, in holiday homes, off-grid, or on the water.

Our ongoing flagship in Uganda brings safe water to 10,000+ children at over 20 schools - proof that Sensiblue holds up where it's hardest and most needed: difficult water sources, heavy daily use, and tough to maintain. Test results and photos: https://tgup.org/Clean-Water-Africa

We clean it, you drink it.

We joined NWP to connect our innovative technology with a global network of partners. As proud members of NWP, we aim to collaborate with international NGOs, distributors and knowledge institutes to scale sustainable, low-maintenance drinking water solutions where they are needed most, from off-grid rural communities to global humanitarian projects.
