NWP appoints Marjolein Meerburg and Jelle Hannema to Supervisory Board

Reflecting on her departure, Dorette Corbey said "Reflecting on my time with NWP, I have seen it evolve like water itself: flowing, shifting, and renewing. Today, I leave the Supervisory Board with confidence as NWP embarks on a new wave of energy and opportunity, putting its participants at the heart of its mission once more."

New Board member Marjolein Meerburg brings extensive experience in the water and construction sectors, including advisory roles at Rijkswaterstaat (Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management) and chairing various associations. She is skilled at fostering collaboration, ensuring projects meet users’ needs, and supporting partnerships across public, private, and societal organisations. Commenting on her appointment, she said: "I’m very excited about this new role with such a dynamic and interesting organisation."

Jelle Hannema brings extensive experience as CEO of Vitens, one of the Netherlands’ major water utilities, with a focus on water management, sustainability, and collaboration. He also worked at Haskoning and has represented Vitens as a 50 percent shareholder in VEI, gaining an understanding of both Dutch and international water sector dynamics. Reflecting on his appointment, he said "I look forward to contributing to NWP’s mission and supporting the Board in strengthening connections across the water sector, both in the Netherlands and internationally."

Chairman Rob Steijn welcomed the new members, saying "Their perspectives, complementary skills, and extensive experience will strengthen the Board’s strategic oversight and support NWP’s direction in a changing international context. At the same time, we sincerely thank Dorette Corby for her valuable contribution and strong commitment to NWP over the past years."
