NWP is delighted to be accepted as a new associated member of the NDC Partnership.
The NDC Partnership is a global coalition of countries and institutions collaborating to drive transformational climate action and sustainable development. Through the Partnership, members leverage their resources and expertise to provide countries with the tools they need to implement their nationally determined contributions (NDCs) and combat climate change to build a better future.
NWP’s membership has been accepted due to its dedication towards pursuing ambitious climate action and enhancing sustainable development. By joining, NWP becomes part of a wider coalition of members and institutions committed to working together towards these shared goals.
NWP and its members work globally, there where Dutch water expertise can contribute to solving global water challenges which too often are related to, and increasing because of, climate change. We seek to boost the international impact of the Dutch Water Sector through its contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals being achieved and provide framework conditions conducive to knowledge exchange, matchmaking and assignments for the Dutch water sector. Trade missions, international fairs and market analyses are some of the means for NWP to catalyse water impact through Dutch expertise. Our focus countries among the NDC Partnership member countries are Argentina, Bangladesh, Chile, Colombia, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, Mozambique, Rwanda, South Africa, United States of America and Vietnam.
NWP aims to contribute to the mission of the NDC Partnership by enabling our members to actively participate in projects and action agendas to mitigate and adapt to climate change.
The NDC Partnership works with national governments, international institutions, civil society, researchers and the private sector to fast-track climate and development action. The Partnership is open to countries and international institutions that are committed to ambitious implementation of NDCs under the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
