Salta
SALTA is a national network organisation comprising 40 public and private partners across the Netherlands. It focuses on practical solutions to salinisation and freshwater availability in coastal regions. By sharing knowledge, developing projects, showcasing innovations, and exchanging hands-on experience, SALTA contributes to a resilient freshwater system in an increasingly saline delta.
On 12 June 2025, NWP and SALTA – the Dutch knowledge cluster on salinity issues in deltas – signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to intensify their collaboration. The agreement focuses on enhancing the visibility of Dutch knowledge and expertise in salinity and freshwater management, both within the Netherlands and internationally.
This collaboration aims to bridge water management with sectors such as agriculture and soil, bringing together public and private actors, research institutions, and educational partners.

NWP is also a partner in the Saline Water & Food Systems Partnership (SW&FSP), in collaboration with the Netherlands Food Partnership (NFP). The cooperation with SALTA is designed to be complementary, ensuring alignment and synergy across related initiatives.
