NWP intends to organise a Netherlands Lounge at the Aquatech Asia trade show in Bangkok, Thailand to provide a joint platform for Dutch organisations to showcase their expertise and engage with regional stakeholders, subject to approval of a subsidy request.

Aquatech Asia: platform for water technology, integrated water management, and flood and drought management

Aquatech Asia is the inaugural Asian edition of the internationally established Aquatech trade show family. Taking place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, the event is designed to be the region's dedicated platform for water technology, integrated water management, and flood and drought management.

Aquatech Asia combines the quality and reach of the established Aquatech brand with a specific focus on Southeast Asia's most pressing water challenges. Climate change and rapid urbanisation are intensifying flood and drought risks across the region, threatening water security, food production, and economic growth. With over $200 billion in projected investment in water infrastructure across Southeast Asia between 2025 and 2030, the region represents a significant opportunity for Dutch water expertise. The planned Netherlands Lounge would offer Dutch organisations a dedicated presence at this new and significant regional platform from its very first edition.
