Each member shared their objectives for the coming year and issued a call for collaboration. This sparked lively discussions and led to immediate cooperation plans, such as those surrounding the materials list.
A key topic was the need for improved collaboration with the government, particularly regarding approval procedures and legislation at both national and EU levels. Additionally, there was a strong emphasis on mapping the origins of contaminants in nutrient streams—"Start at the source!" was a recurring theme throughout the discussions.
Another crucial point was the transition from research to realization: how can we ensure that innovations are effectively implemented? In the afternoon, the Nutrient Platform members engaged in small group discussions on strengthening collaboration and maximizing our impact. A major takeaway was the importance of elevating circular nutrients on the political agenda in The Hague as a cornerstone of the circular economy.
The next Nutrient Platform Member Meeting will take place on June 24, 2025. We look forward to building on these discussions!
