To better protect public health and the environment, and maximise a cleaner, locally controlled water supply, the city of Los Angeles (LA) is planning to modernise its 100-year old water system. The passing of Measure W in 2018 led to the Safe Clean Water Program, a regional plan that addresses how water is captured, how the reliance on imported water can be reduced and how surface water can be part of the urban landscape.
To inform Dutch companies about projects and business opportunities resulting from this programme, the Netherlands Water Partnership, the Dutch Consulate General in San Francisco and the Dutch Business Support Office in LA will hold a joint online session on 23 June. This webinar is supported by Partners for Water.
The programme will consist of an overview of the LA’s water system and its managing agencies, current challenges, and major projects and business opportunities. Furthermore, companies involved with water projects such as Fugro and Hydraloop will share their experiences and ambitions pertaining business in the US. There will also be time to touch upon ways in which the organising partners can assist the companies participating in the discussion in further exploring LA and its water related projects and business opportunities.
If your company is based in the Netherlands and seeks international business operations in the water sector, this session can be the entry point to LA’s water opportunities.
