The Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP) is the foremost network organisation for the Dutch water sector. The Netherlands has a rock-solid reputation in water management, and we believe this expertise can make a global difference. We help the Dutch water sector share its knowledge, connect with key partners, and engage in opportunities related to exports, international cooperation, and promotion.

NWP has around 180 members, including profit and non-profit organisations, covering areas from water technology to infrastructure, as well as NGOs and government bodies. We bring our members together to create a positive global impact. Through projects, programmes, events, and activities, we create visibility for the Dutch water sector, helping our members expand market opportunities on the international stage. Our ambition is to double the international reach of the Dutch water sector while working on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Your role

We are looking for a highly motivated, results-driven, and proactive intern based in the Netherlands to support our initiatives for the Dutch water sector. As an intern, you'll work in the Marketing & Communications team, which includes the Communications, Events, and Business Relationship Management teams, all led by the Marketing and Communications Manager. Your key tasks will include:

• Assisting with social media campaigns (LinkedIn, X, Facebook).
• Designing banners and presentations using PowerPoint and Canva.
• Support in writing English content for newsletters, websites, and social media.
• Supporting events, including international trade fairs, trade missions, and delegation visits.
• Supporting customer relationship management and member communications.
• Video editing and exploring new branding opportunities.
• Participating in team meetings & brainstorm sessions.
• Optional: Independent market research or a project assignment tailored to your interests.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in higher education (University of Applied Sciences, or University).
• Strong English writing and communication skills.
• Organisational skills and familiarity with tools like Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet.
• Affinity with creating communication materials (e.g. PowerPoint).
• Proactive, professional, and detail-oriented approach.
• Good organisational, and time management skills. 
• Entrepreneurial spirit.
