9 May 2019A three day mission (16-19 July) to Boston with Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Special Envoy Henk Ovink will focus on Climate Resilience.
The draft programme, that integrates flood resilience and water technology at a regional and local scale, was recently published. Interested in joining? You have until next Wednesday 15 May to register.
The North East of the US is especially prone to the consequences of climate change and willing to adapt and increase its resiliency. Boston has prepared its Climate Ready Boston Initiative, and Massachusetts has recently allocated 2.4 billion USD for climate resilience investments. Also local water infrastructure requires adaptation to new standards to become future proof. The economic mission to Boston will focus on both topics and can stimulate your activities in the US water market.
The mission will further build on existing US-Dutch water partnerships, identify market opportunities, encourage new cooperation, and expand your US network. Round tables, site visits and working sessions will address (urban) resilience, water management, water technology and flood protection on a regional and local scale.
