Henk Nieboer to chair NWP’s Advisory Board

Henk will continue contributing to NWP from 1 March as Chair of the Advisory Board. His goal is that the Board becomes a meaningful platform of high level water sector representatives in the Netherlands.

The Board will discuss challenges, dilemmas and developments in the water sector and translate the discussions into suggestions for the strategy and operations of NWP. The topics for discussion can come from NWP itself, its members, the Supervisory Board or the members of the Advisory Board themselves. Once a year, the Board will advise on the NWP strategic and annual plan.

How do you feel about this appointment? 

“I feel honoured that after having contributed to NWP in an operational role, the Director and the Supervisory Board have entrusted me again with an important task. I also like the idea of my continued involvement with NWP. I have come to value the dedication and passion of the participants and the staff at NWP. It’s great that I can continue working with them in this new role.”

Why have you accepted? 

“I believe that NWP needs to be connected in various ways to its members and target groups. I see the new Advisory Board as a great platform to take various perspectives into account in NWP operations. I accepted because I think that I am now in a phase of my career where I can have the most added value in advisory and coaching roles.”

How do you expect to contribute to NWP’s goals?

“By organising meaningful high level exchanges and debates about topics that are strategic for the water sector of the Netherlands. I expect that the Advisory Board can feed NWP with insights, strategic direction, and ideas for new activities. And I expect that the Board, comprised of representatives from all NWP stakeholders, will improve the connection of NWP with the various segments of the Dutch water sector.”
