The organisation which also directly joined the NGO Platform would like to introduce itself:
"The mission of ICCO Cooperation, as a partner of entrepreneurial persons, is to fight poverty and injustice in the world. ICCO has 350 employees divided across 5 regional offices in Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, Asia, and a Global Office in the Netherlands."
"We support small-scale farmers and small and medium-sized enterprises all over the world to develop sustainable and innovative agricultural systems. ICCO designs, manages, implements, and co-funds programmes focused on climate resilience, sustainable food systems, economic development and sustainable chains. We, for example, help coffee farmers in Vietnam with geodata to reduce the use of water, pesticides and manure, so that they can increase their production, income and food security.
ICCO is experienced in developing and managing public-private partnerships (SDG 17) and applies a wide range of financial instruments. Our primary focus is on SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and we highlight the position of women and young people."
