Last week, NWP hosted RVO delegates as part of the ‘A Day in the Life of’ support programme. The programme – co-developed by NWP and Water Alliance - connects internationally oriented SMEs with the RVO Programme and subsidy advisors. In return, the programme gives RVO officers essential insights into the Dutch water sector and its many aspects.
The day – the second in a series of four meetings – started at the NWP Office with a welcome by RVO Manager Annemieke Broesterhuizen, followed by an introduction to the water delta technology sector by NWP’s Business Relations Manager Arjan Braamskamp. From there, the group watched a demonstration by Raymond Hofer – Dutch Water Prevention – at Flood Proof Holland TU Delft Campus, followed by a guided tour at the Deltares Knowledge and Research Institute. At the end of the day, NWP members and prospective members – Blik Sensing and Solar Dew – presented their respective companies, international ambitions, and related challenges to the RVO participants.
During the day, the 11 appointed RVO Programme Advisors learned more about the SMEs’ needs. To support some of them, the Advisors will prepare a customised proposal, including strategic advice and market entry suggestions, as well as an overview of the most suitable subsidies and support programmes available.
Our gratitude goes out to RVO and our NWP participants: Deltares, Dutch Water Prevention, Blik Sensing, TU Delft (Flood Proof Holland), Solar Dew, and Unie van Waterschappen.
