Merci Corps Netherlands

Mercy Corps Netherlands was established in 2017 and is an integral part of the global Mercy Corps organisation, operational in 42 countries worldwide. Based in The Hague, our growing team focuses on supporting European-funded programmes across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, building new partnerships with stakeholders in the Netherlands, and working closely with policy-makers to ensure that our research and programmatic evidence informs development cooperation and humanitarian policies and practices.

At Mercy Corps, we seek solutions to the world’s toughest challenges. To take on the consequences of conflict and climate change, we bring together bold ideas and the lived experience of people who know their communities best—scaling what works to achieve lasting, transformational change. We connect people across the globe to clean water, nutritious food, better economic opportunities, and more peaceful tomorrows—all critical to unlocking the power of human potential and strengthening communities to better cope during crises, adapt to evolving challenges, and thrive into the future.

Water Security is one of the four outcome areas in Mercy Corps’ global strategy, and therefore a key focus of our work in 42 conflict and climate affected states. In achieving our overall goals and lasting impact on local communities worldwide, it is important for us to connect with water-related stakeholders from the corporate, NGO, government and foundation sectors in the Netherlands and explore opportunities to collaborate, share and learn. The NWP provides this space and Mercy Corps Netherlands looks forward to actively engaging with the NWP and its members and join its NGO Platform.
