Fenasan
From 20 to 22 October 2026, FENASAN will take place in São Paulo, Brazil. The Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP) is currently gauging interest from the Dutch water sector in participating in a potential Netherlands Lounge at the event.
FENASAN is Brazil's leading trade fair for water and sanitation, and the largest water event in Latin America, attracting over 25,000 visitors. The event consists of the national sanitation and environment fair Fenasan (Feira Nacional de Saneamento e Meio Ambiente) and the 37th AESabesp Technical Meeting conference. It is organised by AESabesp, the Association of Engineers of Sabesp, the largest water and waste management company in Latin America.
The NL Lounge would serve as the central hub for Dutch engagement with the Brazilian water sector, providing a shared platform for Dutch companies, knowledge institutes, and government organisations to connect with Brazilian water professionals.

FENASAN: 40 years of connection people, knowledge and innovation trough water and sanitation
FENASAN brings together experts, utilities, government authorities, and technology providers to advance solutions in water supply, wastewater treatment, solid waste management, and urban sanitation.
The Dutch water sector has been present in Brazil since recent years, building a growing track record of valuable engagement. At FENASAN 2025, eight Dutch organisations participated in the Netherlands Lounge, holding dozens of one-on-one meetings with Brazilian counterparts and generating substantive follow-up discussions on topics ranging from water and wastewater treatment to digital solutions and climate-resilient infrastructure.
The 2026 edition, planned to be organised by NWP in close collaboration with the Dutch Consulate-General in Brazil and sector partners, will build on this momentum, reflecting the continued growth and ambition of Brazil’s sanitation sector.
