Senior Business Relationship Manager Water (32-40 hours/week)

Our organisation

The Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP) is the network organisation of the Dutch water sector. The Netherlands has a rock-solid reputation when it comes to water. We believe this expertise can make a difference worldwide. For this reason, we facilitate the Dutch water sector in export, international cooperation and promotion. NWP has about 200 members, profit and non-profit, from water technology to water infrastructure, NGO and government. With these members, we create water impact worldwide. NWP’s ambition is to double the international impact of the Dutch water sector through its contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Your role

As the Business Relationship Manager, you arrange new business matches connecting the Dutch water sector with opportunities worldwide. You know all about our members, their businesses and their international ambitions. Making strategic decisions, you distribute this market intelligence - disseminated by our project managers - in the right direction towards successful projects.

You ensure that the member account management is well established and executed within the operational team and that the unlocked intelligence is stored in a CRM tool that provides up-to-date information. You work closely with our management team and the MarCom colleagues to communicate success stories of members and the Dutch water sector in general. You manage a small Business Relationship team.

Besides working from home or at our office - next to the central railway station in The Hague - you participate in network events and visit our members regularly.

  • Contribute to policymaking by sharing ideas and expertise with contacts within the Dutch government and embassies.

What we ask

  • A higher water-related education or International Business (Bachelor or Master).
  • You are a hunter who loves the thrill of new business and the recognition from contributing to growth and impact.
  • You have a broad knowledge of the Dutch water sector and its dynamics.
  • You have a well-developed high-level network.
  • You have at least ten years of experience in working on projects in a public or private environment and account management. International experience is an advantage.
  • Experience with the use of a CRM tool.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language is required; knowledge of another language is an advantage.
  • You are comfortable with business, scientific, NGO and G2G communication.
  • You are network-oriented, goal-oriented, commercial, business-minded, proactive, structured (organising and coordinating skills), accurate, customer-focused.
