The Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) on 4 and 5 June 2019 in The Hague is approaching fast. The summit will cover the role of businesses in meeting global challenges while simultaneously capitalising on the business opportunities that they present.
The water-related programme includes an Industry Panel with representatives from Coca Cola, Swiss RE, and others to discuss the importance of water management and innovation for businesses. Secondly, a Resilient by Design session on water technology with Henk Ovink, Deltares, LG Sonic, Jacobs Engineering, and the Irrigation Association will discuss the need for water technology innovation for climate adaptation. Thirdly, a Solutions Stage with the theme Water-Energy-Food Nexus has been organised.
NWP will lead the conference’s water programme together with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management and the Dutch water sector.
GES brings together 2,000 selected world leaders in innovation, entrepreneurship, investment, science, and policy. The core of the summit is set up around 1,200 unique entrepreneurs, primarily scale-ups, 400 from the US and 400 from the EU, of which 200 are from The the Netherlands and 400 from miscellaneous countries. NWP members Villagepump BV, Blik Sensing, and LG Sonic are amongst the 11 selected Dutch water entrepreneurs.
