The sequel is called the NIWA (Nederlandse Internationale Waterambitie, Dutch international water ambition) and focuses even more on how the Netherlands cooperates to contribute to water security and water safety worldwide. It also outlines the Dutch earning capacity, which is driven in part by the SDG agenda and 'climate adaptation'. NIWA's main implementing body is the Partners for Water Programme, which NWP and RVO.nl jointly execute. The Dutch water sector was consulted before publishing the policy paper.
