The organisation invests in impact to deliver inclusive and tangible solutions to build better and greener to meet the United Nations' SDGs and the Paris Agreement.
As sector winner for these awards, the NWP-KIFFWA partnership joins a network of over 50 public-private partnerships across critical SDG areas building and scaling the most innovative, collaborative solutions for a greener economy.

Based on the different sector winner pitches, the jury will select a Partnership of the Year winner. The winner will be announced at the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow between 31 October and 12 November 2021.
KIFFWA was set up in 2016 by NWP with funding from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Nairobi. It has been fully operational since 2018 when the organisational set-up phase was completed, with a dedicated local team and robust governance structure.
NWP and KIFFWA cooperate on a weekly basis to co-develop and finance promising early-stage, climate resilient water projects and businesses in Kenya that contribute to the SDGs, including SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
KIFFWA's mission is to catalyse investment and growth of the water sector by providing financial and technical support to project developers and entrepreneurs, to a point that (commercial/private) investors are comfortable to step in and the implementation phase can start.
P4G is now accepting concept notes for high-impact partnerships implementing innovative business models to accelerate achievement of the SDGs. Each awarded partnership will benefit from some combination of services of P4G (incl. the option of catalytic funding up to USD 1 million), tailored to the partnership’s specific needs and path toward commercialization.
