The Dutch water sector can make a profound global impact in themes such as drinking water supply, coastal protection, circular economy and climate adaptation. In our Marcom & Events department you have the opportunity to work closely with international teams and partners on these topics and more. As Marcom team, we promote this through storytelling and showing examples in online media, newsletters, in presentations, at events and content papers.
We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague that helps us with the international promotion of the Dutch water sector by creating content for our online platforms (www.netherlandswaterpartnership.com and www.dutchwatersector.com). You develop and execute communication strategies for the projects and programmes we execute on behalf of the Dutch water sector. Do you have the skills and drive to help us reach and engage the global market?
The Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP) is the Dutch water sector’s network organisation. The Netherlands has a rock-solid reputation when it comes to water. And we believe this expertise can make a difference worldwide. For this reason, we facilitate the Dutch water sector in international cooperation and promotion. NWP has about 180 members – profit and non-profit, from water technology to water infrastructure and governance. With these members we aim to create worldwide impact and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Marcoms & Events and Business Relationship Management team is a close-knit group of enthusiastic professionals with a passion for the Dutch water sector. Together we create a buzz around the international contribution of the sector to themes such as climate resilience, water quality and food security. Promoting opportunities and stimulating international cooperation in the field of water is our core task.
No day is the same at NWP. One day you support our event colleagues with the promotion of an international tradeshow, the next you think about a communication strategy for one of our programmes, or you fill our content calendar with new stories and leads. This variety makes our work versatile and intensive. That is why we are looking for someone who is strong, hands-on, inventive, self-reliant and also knows when to resist.
The Marketing & Communication team focuses on setting up communication strategies, translating content into messages for our communication tools, promotion activities via online channels, corporate branding, creating content and visual products (banners, videos, powerpoint, etc.) and advising colleagues project officers on their communication activities.
At NWP we also want to keep innovating, improving our means of communication. We are therefore always looking for new ways and your foresight is essential in this. What are the new trends in communication, and which activities suit a network organisation such as NWP? Think video, social media, online platforms and tools, advertising, community building.
The position contains a number of aspects with an emphasis on target group segmentation and the development of associated messaging, marketing communication and programme communication, branding and design.
