27 June 2019NWP is organising a network meeting with the Dutch water sector as part of a two-day study tour of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The meeting will be held in Scheveningen on Thursday 11 July. The objective of the study tour is to give greater structure to the collaboration between the EBRD and the Dutch water sector, and to ensure that the EBRD builds on the excellent reputation of the Netherlands in the field of water.
Focal themes of the study tour are water supply, waste water and climate adaptation, with a specific emphasis on urban climate resilience, waste water treatment, groundwater management/irrigation and non-revenue water. The EBRD is of particular interest to Dutch water sector players that work in Eastern European (including the Balkans), Central Asia and the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean (SEMED) regions.
The network meeting will take place between 14:00 and 17:30. It will start with a 1,5 hour plenary meeting to learn more about EBRD’s strategy, structure and intentions for cooperating with the DWS, followed by a two hour informal network event with the EBRD delegates. The meeting is organised by NWP as part of the Partners for Water Programme in cooperation with the Taskforce Finance of the Dutch Government’s Interdepartmental Water Cluster (IWC). The address is Dunea Duin & Water: Pompstationsweg 351, Scheveningen.
Please register for this event by filling out the registration form before Friday July 5th. If you have any questions about the EBRD study tour or the network meeting programme, please contact Josephine Damstra, j.damstra@nwp.nl.
