A new transatlantic initiative – Dutch Flood Resilience Solutions – has been officially launched. It unites Dutch and US expertise to strengthen flood resilience in Texas and Florida.
Building flood resilience with Dutch expertise
From hurricanes to extreme rainfall, these regions face increasing water-related risks. Flooding remains one of the most damaging natural hazards in the United States, particularly in Gulf states such as Texas and Florida. Tackling these complex challenges calls for innovation, collaboration, and long-term vision.
Dutch Flood Resilience Solutions is a public–private partnership initiated by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). The partnership connects proven Dutch expertise with local US needs, offering integrated and practical solutions, from early warning systems and mobile flood barriers to resilient urban planning and infrastructure design.
