Bangladesh Delta Plan
The Bangladesh Delta Plan was developed in September 2018 in cooperation with the Netherlands. The Bangladesh Government approved the Delta Plan and plans to spend USD 37.5 billion by 2031 on implementing it. The Dutch water sector is already active in Bangladesh in various projects and initiatives. A consortium led by Twynstra Gudde is working with Bangladesh, providing technical support towards the implementation of the plan. Most recently, Bangladesh and the Netherlands signed the Joint Cooperation Programme that aims to develop long term knowledge sharing and capacity building in integrated water resources management, integrated coastal zone management, flood and drought management, urban water management and adaptive planning.
