9 July 2024The Ukraine Water Public-Private Partnership (UWP3) Platform was honored to host a networking lunch for a delegation from Ukrhydroenergo that is visiting the Netherlands to exchange knowledge about critical infrastructure management. Ukrhydroenergo is the largest hydro power generating company in Ukraine, 100% shares of which belong to the state.
Ukrhydroenergo’s visit was organised by Rijkswaterstaat and the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, in coordination with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). The Ukrhydroenergo delegation was composed of senior officials and department directors.
The gathering took place at the office of the Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP) on 24 June and it brought together representatives from the Ukrainian Embassy in The Hague and Dutch Government agenciesincluding Rijkswaterstaat, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency. Platform members present for the occasion were Royal HaskoningDHV, Witteveen + Bos, Infrafix, Kuiper Compagnons, Invest International, Dutch Water Authorities, Primavera, Royal Eijkelkamp, Vermaesser Consultancy, and Van Oord Dredging and Marine Contractors BV.
Part of the official visit was a field trip to Afsluitdijk. There, the delegation had the opportunity to know more about the the dam and its site specifics, guided by experts from Rijkswaterstaat.
The UWP3 Platform is an initiative of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency and commissioned by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. NWP has been appointed as the Platform coordinator.
