WTEX10 UK Water Technology Mission
We would like to thank all UK partners, clients and relations for meeting us during our short visit to the United Kingdom between Monday 29 and Thursday 2 December.
On Monday, the group met at the head office of HR Wallingford, to discuss the UK's ambitions with regards to the circular economy and nature-based solutions with the UK Water Partnership and British Water.
Fruitful meetings with OFWAT (the Water Services Regulation Authority), the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the UK, and the EBRD (the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) on Tuesday.
With British water regulator OFWAT, the group discussed the ambitions of the UK water sector and how Dutch technology could help reach those ambitions. The Embassy and EBRD informed the companies about the rules and regulations within the UK, and how to register Dutch technology in order to qualify for assignments.
On Wednesday, the Dutch companies took the stage at the WWT Industry Innovation Conference where they presented their technologies and expertise, which led to many follow-up meetings with potential British clients/partners.
LG Sonic provides environmentally friendly solutions for algae bloom in lakes and reservoirs. Despite the fact we are already active in the United Kingdom, with this WTEX10 mission we strengthened our existing contacts and identified new projects.

The WTEX10 programme offered the companies room to develop a structured and successful approach in preparation for this mission. As a result, Acquaint now has a partner network in the UK with national coverage.
